Championing new music is something the Larisa Trio feel strongly about. Their most recent venture has been performing six new compositions, written for them by the composers of the Norfolk Composers Group, including a premiere of Michael Finnissy's latest piano trio that has been dedicated to the ensemble. As well as working one to one with the composers, their input has shaped the development of the compositions and they look forward to returning next year.
Closer to home, the Larisa trio continue to work with composers studying at the RNCM and Manchester University. Previous performances of their work have included five new compositions for piano trio and chamber choir at the RNCM and reworkings of Christmas carols as part of several festive concerts across the country.
